Someone asked me this question recently: What is the secret to being a good graphic designer?
Based on what I’ve learned over these years, I would say there is no secret. I take time each day to admire and learn from the work of graphic designers out there, be it for print or web. And there is no complicated formula to help you tell when you are looking at a top design – you simply need to look and compare which website, brochure or logo attract you the most. Study them. Study your competitors and, if your products look better, then you are a winner.
